You turn your back for one minute!!!

As I mentioned in a recent post, Isabella and I went to McDonald's with the neighbours...and I just received their photos from the evening...little did I know what I missed while I was in line waiting to order! They grow up so fast these days!

Summer fun 2

So not all the summer fun has involved Isabella...although she does seem to have more than her fair share. This first photo is of the two of us just before I went out to my friend's 40th birthday party.

The next photo was taken just to show her wearing the woollen socks her Great Grandma made for her many many months ago...they finally fit! It was a little chilly so she had them on.



I finally took Isabella to McDonald's. Bella and I went with the neighbours which includes Natu who is exactly 2 months older than Bella. She had the chicken nuggets with the fruit and orange juice. She LOVED the orange juice, which was the expensive Tropicana stuff! I went to buy some today but it was more than 3 euros for one litre! Sorry Bella, we can't afford to get you hooked on that juice. She never drinks very much juice of her juice boxes...but this one she finished the whole container! We also went to check out their new furniture since they just refurbished. While she waited for me to order she played in the new play area. It really wasn't that much fun for kids her age. They had a slide that she enjoyed...but not anymore.





















On the way back we all stopped at the playground. Bella and Natu had lots of fun playing together. I had also taken the bubbles with me so they had fun running after them. Natu is rather rambunctious and he shows Bella how to let go a little. So she had lots of fun chasing them! Normally she just waits for the bubbles to come to her to pop them. :-) Both Bella and Natu slept very well that night!


Bella has also decided that she will start to collect sticks for Alfie and Molly. We have to keep them in the house.


We went out together to take some things to the post office...it was so hard to convince her that these were not slides! We also went to the shopping centre and she had fun climbing on these but she did sit for a short time to take this picture.


On the bus ride home, Isabella got to sit in a real seat instead of her stroller. What a big girl she is!

Summer fun

We have all had so much fun this summer even though we haven't had any real holiday together. That would be my fault since I started my job at the end of Feb and in Finland that means that I haven't earned any holidays for this year...weird system...I know. But we have tried to do some fun things together. Luckily the weather has been really good this year. It is just a shame that I haven't been able to enjoy it outside of my office during the week!

The first couple of photos were just cute...the next set of photos of her in her pretty dress were from a trip to downtown Helsinki. I thought it would be fun to do a couple of touristy photos while we were there. So you can see we stopped in front of the National Theatre and the Atenium Museum. This was the longest time in her whole life that she had kept a ponytail in. It had to be done because her hair was getting so long and I was waiting for my Mom to come and cut her hair. You will see that I just couldn't wait any longer and I ended up cutting it myself. Lastly in this group we were waiting for the bus. I actually let her out of her stroller...she enjoyed that a lot! She is getting to be such a big girl!




















Isabella has had a couple of golf lessons this summer also. Taneli has taken her out to hit a couple of balls in the back yard...she tends to enjoy throwing them more though.








Like I mentioned, ponytails don't last very long here. She always wants to have one...and she loves to play with mine but once it is in her hair, it has to come out. Sometimes she just hands it back to me to put back in her hair!













You can see here that I hadn't cut her hair yet and you can also see that it really needed cutting! It couldn't wait another 3-4 weeks that it was going to take for Grandma to get here. But here we are at Lotta and Antti's new house in Vihti celebrating Marjut's 21st birthday. She sure is enjoying her cake! I have also added a couple of videos...try to ignore how much she puts her finger in her nose!!! :-) She is showing off her vocabulary...or is it me that is getting her to show off? In the second video she is showing her vocab again BUT at the end you can see a bit of her temper coming out...
